JORDAN FOOD PACKS DISTRIBUTION

IN THE CAVE OF THE 7 SLEEPERS

_Alhamdulillah with the grace of Allah SWT the representatives from DWT have returned to the UK safely from Jordan._

_JazakaAllah for all your Duaas._

_As you are aware the purpose of our visit was to personally deliver your donations to our beloved brothers and sisters._

_Under the auspicious guidance of the Imaam of Ashaabe Kahf (Cave of the  Seven Sleepers) Shaykh Muatasem we achieved this mission. Alhamdulillah._

_Jordan is currently home to millions of refugees from Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Sudan and Somalia. In addition to this, there are many Jordanians that are in dire need of aid._

_During our trip Alhamdulillah, with your donations, we distributed over 420 food packs and around  £5000 in cash handouts._

_Distribution was carried out over several days due to the complexity of the programme and the locations covered._

_We distributed food packs in remote areas, going house to house and tent to tent. The reason for this is that families in remote these locations do not generally receive much support from the government or other known charities._

_In addition, we also organised several distribution points where those in need from nearby refugee camps could come and collect the food packs._

_The situation in Jordan is heart-wrenching. It was very sad to see that families do not have food for one night let alone Ramadhaan._

_However, despite the struggles and hardship their level of Imaan and steadfastness is inspirational, one cannot describe this in words._

_One elderly individual was asked how he managed replied; Allah is He who provides rizq for me and He will surely provide rizq for you. Aameen._

_These are the words from an elderly disabled individual living alone with no family or hope of income._

_We should take this opportunity to wholeheartedly appreciate and thank Allah SWT for the countless blessings we enjoy, Alhamdulillah._
